Our beloved Juliette Hagist passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 after a quick but mighty fight with cancer.  Although her illness was unknown to everyone, she approached her fight the way she approached her life – head on and determined to live her last days on her own terms.  

 

Born in St. Louis in a year that shall remain undisclosed (she was never quick to reveal her age) as Juliette Assaf, those who knew her best knew her as Julie.  But her favorite name would always be “Titi” which was the name she was called by her nine grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. 

A proud member of the Atlantic Beach community for more than 60 years and a successful business owner of Sunnyland Laundry for more than 30 years, Juliette was a well-known staple at the beach and prided herself on being able to give back to those who shared her love for her community.  She loved everything about the beach and enjoyed sharing that love with her children, family and friends.  She had an incredibly green thumb and loved being able to create an abundant and thriving
